How to Become a Medical Examiner

This career has a high potential due to the specialization in this field. A medical examiner is otherwise a licensed doctor so it is required that they obtain their M.D. or D.O. It is required that they undergo a degree in forensic pathology, received a bachelor’s degree in that and then go to medical school for four years. There are a couple of routes that the applicant can take after they have obtained their degree but it is mandatory that there is training in clinical pathology which does require experience on the job. The certification of this is going to allow them to pass a mandatory exam given by the American Board of Pathology.
