How to Become a Math Teacher

To become a math teacher a BA of Science in Mathematics or in Education with a focus in math is often required. There are also some specialized degree programs which will narrow down your area of specialization. This degree will have to be obtained from a 4 year college – if the math teacher would like to work at a higher level, he will often obtain a master’s degree or a doctorate. There are some states that even require that public teachers obtain their license. It will vary from state to state which is why each student should look up the requirements. Some may require more certification.
